This group understands that everyone is volunteering their time and safety. There may be times when you can't drop everything or leave work to show up. That’s okay. We are here to do what we can. Please commit to showing up as much as you can, and communicate with the group when en route.

When showing up to a scene:

Consider turning off your cell phone when you’re close enough to navigate without maps. Part of how individuals are being identified is through phones talking to each other through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Operational Security can be challenging, but it enables us to stay engaged for longer. 

The goal is to flood these scenes with as many people as possible. If we have a group of 10, it would be valuable to have about 2 people on Instagram Live to get as many eyes as possible on what’s happening in real-time. This can be coordinated through our channel. 

 

We’re still working everything out and organizing to the best of our ability. Most of this will remain flexible to keep everyone involved as safe as possible. 

 

 

We’ll be limiting dialogue to keep the focus on monitored activity and coordination.

 

Rules for chat:

 

• Group members should use call signs, not actual names.

• If you send invite links, unsend them after they’ve been used.

• Don’t post about the group on social media.

• No talk or jokes about illegal activities. If any content in this channel were to be leaked, everyone in the group could be implicated. 

• Only invite people who align with the values of this cause. We don’t have to agree on everything, but this is non-negotiable. 

• No political discussions. We can do that everywhere else, but try to keep the chat clear for important information, planning, and organizing.
